Le réajustement du prix des produits pétroliers à la pompe de 9 500 à 10 000 francs depuis le 1er août, fait tirer des langues de partout. Pendant que certains dénoncent la procédure de fixation de ces prix, Dr Ousmane Kaba, économiste et président du PADES (parti de l’opposition) prend défense pour le gouvernement dans la procédure de fixation du prix.
L’ancien ministre de l’économie sous Lansana Conté estime que l’État n’a pas à partager ses décision avec quelqu’un.
” C’est en fonction de l’évolution des prix à l’extérieur du pays. Vous savez, nous avons ici le principe de réajustement continuel des prix en fonction de l’évolution de ces prix à l’étranger” a d’abord rappelé l’économiste avant de dénoncer la mauvaise pratique adoptée en Guinée.
“La seule chose que nous déplorons c’est que la flexibilité suppose à la hausse et à la baisse selon ce qui se passe à l’international. Généralement chez nous quand les prix augmentent, on procède à une augmentation mais même si ça baisse l’État se garde bien de reduire à la pompe. C’est ce qui fait que cette politique n’a beaucoup de crédibilité.” s’est indigné Dr. Kaba
Mais en ce qui concerne la procédure, poursuit-il, “l’Etat n’a pas à partager ses décisions avec quelqu’un, le fait de fixer le prix en fonction des normes internationales n’a rien d’anormal seulement il faut expliquer aux associations et aux professionnels du transport pour ne pas qu’il y ait des répercussions sur le prix des transports et des denrées de grande consommation. Donc sur le taux d’inflation.” propose-t-il
