C’est l’ordonnance numéro 53 du président Ahmed Sékou TOURÉ, qui confirma la date du 1er novembre comme date de naissance de l’armée guinéenne, ce après la proclamation de l’indépendance du pays le 02 octobre de la même année. Une armée créée dans le but de défendre la souveraineté nationale.
À l’occasion de ses 61 ans, officiers, sous officiers et hommes de rangs fortement mobilisés au quartier général du bataillon général pour commémorer et rendre hommage aux vaillants militaires de l’armée guinéenne.
C’est le ministre de la défense nationale qui a présidé cette cérémonie commémorative, en compagnie du chancelier de l’ordre national.
Dans son discours de circonstance le ministre de la défense nationale a au nom du président de la république Alpha CONDÉ adressé ses compassions aux soldats blessés dans des missions à l’extérieur du pays. “Officier, sous-officiers, hommes de rangs la célébration de la fête de l’armée guinéenne m’offre l’occasion de vous présenter mes vœux de bonne fête. J’exprime tout mon attachement à tous les soldats blessés lors des missions à l’extérieur du pays, puisse le tout puissant leur accordé un soulagement en ce jour anniversaire de la création de notre armée nationale. Et je renouvèle mes condoléances à nos héros qui sont tombés dans le nord du Mali dans le cadre de la MUNISMA” a exprimé le ministre Mohamed DIANÉ.
Par la même occasion le ministre de la défense a remercié les forces armées nationales pour les efforts consentis à la réforme des forces de défenses et de sécurités.
“Les efforts fournis sont immenses, mais il nous reste beaucoup à faire pour transformer définitivement notre armée en une armée de progrès, de développement et de construction. Ensemble nous avons réussi en quelques années à transformer l’image de notre armée qui inspire aujourd’hui respect et considération, je vous en félicite.. Je voudrai vous reiterez ma totale disponibilité à trouver des solutions aux problèmes qui affectent toujours notre armée” a indiqué le ministre de la défense également en charge des affaires présidentielles.
