Les actes de discrimination que font l’objet les ressortissants africains pendant cette période de pandémie inquiètent à plus d’un titre les Autorités du continent noir.
Dans ce sillage, le Ministre des Affaires Etrangères et des Guinéens de l’Etranger, Mamadi TOURE, a reçu ce mardi 14 avril 2020, l’Ambassadeur de la République Populaire de Chine en République de Guinée, Monsieur HUANG Wei.
Selon le service de communication dudit département, ” au menu des échanges, la situation des ressortissants Africains, y compris celle des Guinéens établis en Chine, particulièrement dans la province de Guangdong”, a-t-il indiqué dans un compte rendu publié sur la page Facebook du ministère.
En effet, au cours de cette entrevue, Mamadi Touré a déploré le traitement différencié et la stigmatisation que subissent les Africains dans certaines localités chinoises.
Le Ministre des Affaires Étrangères a ensuite “encouragé les autorités chinoises” à prendre les dispositions idoines pour “mettre rapidement fin à cette situation qui n’est pas au diapason de l’excellence de la qualité des relations d’amitié et de solidarité entre l’Afrique et la Chine en général, et la Guinée et la Chine en particulier”, rapporte-t-il.
Cependant, Monsieur HUANG Wei a, à son tour, rassuré que “le Gouvernement chinois qui accorde une grande importance à cette situation, s’oppose à un traitement différencié, ainsi qu’aux propos et actes discriminatoires. Il a informé que les incidents ont eu lieu dans de petites localités, et que le Gouvernement central chinois a donné des instructions fermes aux cantons, afin d’améliorer les mécanismes, méthodes et conditions de confinement”, peut-on lire sur la page Facebook du ministère des Affaires Étrangères et des Guinéens de l’Étranger.
