Fin de formation des élèves-gendarmes et policiers d’au moins 500 gendarmes et policiers de l’école nationale de la gendarmerie de Sonfonia qui ont reçu ce vendredi 25 janvier 2019 leurs diplômes de fin de stage lors d’une cérémonie organisée à l’occasion. C’était en présence des officiers et cadres de la gendarmerie ainsi que des corps diplomatiques et consulaires
De par cette formation, la gendarmerie a voulu non seulement répondre à un besoin urgent et double. Celui de protéger la population contre la délinquance qui risque d’évoluer à la hausse si on n’y prête garde. D’autre part, celui d’instaurer une pratique saine et républicaine de la police judiciaire et du maintien d’ordre.
Au nombre de 561 élèves gendarmes et policiers qui ont suivi la formation commune de base à l’école de la gendarmerie de Sonfonia. Le Général Ibrahima Baldé haut commandant de la gendarmerie nationale et de la justice militaire, a invité les jeunes au strict respect de l’éthique et de la déontologie professionnelle en vue, a-t-il dit, de prétendre devenir le type de gendarme que le pays ambitionne. Celui d’être compétent sur le plan moral, physique et intellectuel au service de l’Etat et du citoyen.
Pendant un an de formation, ces élèves gendarmes et policiers ont reçu les notions de base sur la police administrative, la police judiciaire, le maintien d’ordre public, l’armement, la topographie technique d’identification criminelle, la procédure pénale, le droit international humanitaire et les écrits.
