L’ethnie en politique, un mal ou une nécessité ? C’est une question qui divise compte tenu de sa sensibilité mais loin d’un loin d’un frein.
Entre l’institutionnalisation de la question ethnique et son usage au quotidien et de manière formelle, je plaide pour la première option. L’ethnie doit être une question des politiques dans une société pluriethniques et multilinguistiques comme la nôtre. Mais pour cela, il faut qu’on s’étende sur les règles et le contenu de la question. Que voulions-nous de nos ethnies, un sujet sans contenu ou une préoccupation majeure. C’est ubuesque de croire qu’il est possible de dissocier le politique à l’ethnie ou à la communauté.
D’ailleurs, l’une des plus grandes écoles de sciences politiques à savoir celle de Columbia indique clairement que : « l’on vote politiquement, ce que l’on est socialement », c’est une théorie mais bien valable. Ce qui est répréhensible, c’est de monter une ethnie contre une autre. C’est l’usage abusif de l’ethnicité pour monter les unes contre les autres. Alpha Condé a-t-il tort de penser malinké avant les autres ? Je dirai non. Le Nigeria, la Belgique et d’autres pays qui ont intégré dans le bréviaire politique la question de l’ethnie comme préoccupation ont réussi à transcender la problématique sans réveiller le vieux démon. Alors faut-il s’offusquer quand Alpha, Cellou ou Sidya parle d’ethnie ?
De l’école classique à celle moderne, le sens commun est que l’ethnie n’est pas un problème en politique en tant que tel. Il faut l’institutionnaliser et définir toutes ses limites pour ne pas en faire un usage abusif et de manière à saper l’essentiel de notre existence. Je plaide donc pour l’institutionnalisation de l’ethnie comme phénomène sociétal qu’un simple tabou de société. Ce n’est pas un sens interdit ni un délit. Acceptons notre différence que plutôt de la considérer comme une divergence. C’est un débat intellectuel qui a court ailleurs et pourquoi pas chez nous ?C’est mon point de vue.
