Dans un communiqué, le Groupe SONOCO a informé qu’un de ses employés travaillant dans ses locaux situés à Kaloum a été testé positif au COVID-19.
En effet, il a précisé que l’employé en question relève actuellement de la filiale en charge de la gestion de la Tour Niger en construction. À en croire la direction générale de l’entreprise, le cas positif n’a effectué aucun déplacement hors du pays ces quatre dernières semaines. Il s’était lui-même auto confiné et s’est fait tester volontairement.
Cependant, le groupe SONOCO indique que le patient est déjà en traitement dans le centre indiqué à cet effet à Donka.
Par ailleurs, la Direction du groupe tient à rassurer qu’en accord avec les autorités sanitaires compétentes, toutes les mesures préventives sont déjà prises pour faire désinfecter les différentes installations et locaux concernés.
« Le siège sis à Almamya ainsi que le chantier de la Tour Niger seront donc fermés à compter de ce jeudi 02 Avril 2020 pour une durée de 48 heures pour fin de traitement conformément à nos protocoles de sécurité et santé au travail », a souligné la direction du groupe SONOCO.
