Conakry, le 2 Avril 2020 – Le Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique (MESRS) informe la communauté universitaire et scientifique du lancement d’un plan de riposte contre la maladie à Coronavirus (COVID-19), pour apporter une réponse aux impacts induits et participer activement à la réponse nationale.
Ce plan de riposte s’articule autour d’une série de mesures, qui seront mises en œuvre de manière progressive et dynamique pour une meilleure prise en compte du développement de la crise sanitaire et de ses implications multidimensionnelles.
Les mesures du MESRS, axées sur l’appui à la recherche, l’appui académique, matériel et financier, l’appui à la sensibilisation et l’appui sanitaire, prévoient principalement:
✔La mise en place d’un dispositif institutionnel de veille et de conseil scientifique auprès du Gouvernement et d’orientation pour les travaux prioritaires de recherches fondamentales et appliquées;
✔La mise en place d’un fonds d’urgence pour le soutien à la recherche scientifique dans le cadre de la lutte contre le COVID-19
✔La mise en place d’un mécanisme d’appui à la continuité pédagogique ;
✔La mise en place d’un mécanisme alternatif de paiement des bourses des étudiants ;
✔La mise en œuvre d’un plan de communication et de sensibilisation à travers les étudiants, enseignants-chercheurs, chercheurs et personnel d’encadrement ;
✔Le recrutement et l’accompagnement d’une cohorte d’étudiants volontaires des facultés de médecine pour apporter un appui au personnel soignant.
Conscient du rôle de la recherche scientifique, le MESRS appelle à une mobilisation sans précédent de la communauté scientifique dans la lutte contre cette pandémie et veille à créer les conditions institutionnelles, matérielles et financières pour la bonne conduite des travaux de recherches et la mise en place de stratégies thérapeutiques pour soigner les malades.
Le MESRS entend mettre un accent particulier sur la préservation de la santé des étudiants et des enseignants ainsi que de leurs acquis académiques et sociaux dans ce contexte de crise et en appelle à la sérénité de tous.
Le MESRS exhorte l’ensemble de la communauté universitaire et scientifique à respecter scrupuleusement les mesures édictées par le Président de la République et le Gouvernement et à en être les premiers relais auprès des populations.
