Dr Balla Moussa KEITA a choisi de sauver des vies. De son statut de médecin, il a consacré et sacrifié une grande partie de carrière en apportant à ses patients des soins de qualité.
Assoiffé d’envie pour préserver des vies humaines, il a ôté son blouson pour en filer le costume d’un opérateur économique pour implanter en Guinée le tout premier et unique centre de visite technique automobile dénommée Société Internationale de Visite Technique Automobile (SIVITA) afin de réduire drastiquement le taux de mortalité dû aux accidents de la circulation qui endeuillent les familles et qui réduisent par an plusieurs milliers de personnes handicapées à vie.
Comme si l’exercice du métier de médecin et de patron de centre de visite technique automobile ne lui suffisait pas pour sauver des vies, Dr Balla Moussa KEITA se lance dans l’agriculture pour dit-il lutter contre la faim qui fait elle aussi des milliers de victimes chaque année.
En réponse à l’appelle du Chef de l’Etat Pr Alpha CONDE qui a inscrit l’agriculture au cœur de son programme de développement économique et fait de l’autosuffisance alimentaire une priorité, Dr Balla Moussa KEITA lui-même fils de grand cultivateur connu dans tout Gbérédou, chausse les bottes et descend dans les plaines du district de Sèrèkornin situé dans la sous-préfecture de Baro où il vient de mettre en valeur 1.500 hectares de riz.
« Vous n’êtes pas sans savoir que je suis médecin de formation. Donc sauver des vies humaines est ma vocation. C’est pourquoi d’ailleurs j’ai créé la Société Internationale de Visite Technique Automobile (SIVITA) aussi pour sauver des vies. Ma vocation de médecin et les raisons de l’implantation de la SIVITA sont les mêmes rasions qui m’ont conduit vers cet autre secteur d’activité qui est l’agriculture. N’oublions pas, mon défunt père, fut un grand cultivateur. Cette année, de façon graduelle, je suis arrivé à la vitesse de croisière grâce à l’intervention des techniciens sur le terrain et des six (6) tracteurs que je dispose. Nous sommes à une phase très importante et comptons faire la moisson au mois de décembre. Avec mes propres laverdas, nous ferons une très bonne moisson » a-t-il indiqué.
Le directeur préfectoral de l’agriculture de Kankan qui est en charge du suivi des travaux pour sa part se porte rassurant. « Nous avons corrigé les points noirs pour que le champ puisse être plus productif. Et à ce jour, le riz a une présentation très remarquable. L’avenir est très prometteur. Avec ces corrections apportées et sans risque de se tromper, il faut dire que c’est un village agricole » a témoigné Mohamed KEITA.
Pour la petite histoire, sous la première république, le président Ahmed Sékou Touré, mesurant l’étendue et l’abondance des cultures dans cette plaine avait demandé au vieux Mamoudou KEITA, père de Dr Balla Moussa KEITA de céder une partie au gouvernement d’alors. A la fin de ce régime, la totalité de la plaine est revenue à la famille dont Dr Balla Moussa KEITA est l’héritier à cause de son titre d’ainé de la famille.
