C’est avec un cœur en lambeau que je trempe ma plume dans l’encre pour appeler mes parents de Koyamah au calme et à la retenue. Je suis très peiné et abattu d’avoir appris à distance, les évènements malheureux et douloureux survenus hier mardi, 23 juin 2020 entre les deux communautés (Toma et Koniaké).
C’est un vieux conflit domanial qui a opposé ces deux communautés qui ont longtemps vécu dans la paix. Dans ces affrontements armés à relent ethnique, plusieurs personnes ont été blessées par balles, à coup de machettes. A cela s’ajoutent des biens privés vandalisés et saccagés.
Je suis estomaqué de cette effusion de sang des fils d’une même terre.
Les habitants de Koyamah ont une glorieuse histoire et leur bravoure n’est plus à démontrer. Rappelons-nous de l’incursion rebelle en 2000, tous les fils de cette sous-préfecture située à 140 kilomètres du chef du lieu de la préfecture de Macenta avaient réussi à former à l’unisson, un bloc imperméable pour bouter l’adversaire hors de nos frontières. Combien de fois les deux communautés ont célébré ensemble les trophées glanés au niveau préfectoral par notre équipe sous-préfectorale?
Nous ne devons pas oublier ces moments glorieux de notre histoire.
Les malheureux événements qui ont installé un climat de méfiance et de rivalité chez les habitants barricadés dans les maisons ne profitent à personne.
On pouvait bel et bien éviter ce qui est arrivé si on avait des autorités compétentes. Mais hélas! Le sous-préfet dans sa léthargie n’a JAMAIS daigné prendre à bras le corps ce conflit qui a duré depuis des années.
Nous pouvons encore éviter l’irréparable, il est donc temps d’enterrer la hache de guerre et faire face aux difficultés qui assaillent notre société.
En ma qualité de fils ressortissant de Koyamah, je m’érige en colombe de la paix. Je dis halte à la violence, déposons les armes.
