Sous la directive de l’Union des Consommateurs de Guinée, la Guinée a célébré, samedi, 14 mars 2020, la troisième édition de la journée internationale des droits des consommateurs, dans la salle du 28 septembre du palais du peuple.
Présent à cette cérémonie, le Ministre du commerce, Boubacar Barry a annoncé que plusieurs initiatives sont en cours dans le secteur du commerce, pour assurer une protection effective des consommateurs.
En effet, il s’agit entre autres de << l’amélioration du cadre législatif et règlementaire, par la révision de la loi alimentaire de notre pays, qui insiste davantage sur l’information objective et exhaustive des consommateurs sur les caractéristiques intrinsèques et commerciales des produits et sur les pénalités en cas de violation de la loi >>, a-t-il indiqué.
Parlant des autres perspectives, le Ministre Boubacar Barry a énuméré ensuite:
– La modernisation de l’Office National de Contrôle de Qualité (ONCQ), par la construction et l’équipement de nouveaux laboratoires au niveau central et déconcentré (équipements à recevoir ce mercredi prochain) ;
– L’estampillage de tous les produits entrant et fabriqués en Guinée et la délivrance de l’autorisation de mise à la consommation. Ces mesures sont une assurance-qualité, avant l’introduction des produits sur le marché ;
– La mise en place d’une brigade commerciale, en partenariat avec le Haut Commandement de la Gendarmerie Nationale, pour doter le Ministère du Commerce d’une force de contrôle et de répression sur le terrain.
Par ailleurs, à l’en croire, Big-up Barry a espoir que ces reformes permettront de mieux protéger le Consommateur Guinéen et de le restaurer dans la plénitude de ses droits.
